Ruby was born and raised in Palatka, FL. She is fluent in Spanish and has a special interest for the field of dermatology. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Thereafter, Ruby worked as a medical assistant in dermatology for 1 year and as lead medical assistant in cardiology for 4 years. She further continued her studies at Florida Gulf Coast University attaining her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2019.

Throughout her education, Ruby gained clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient medicine. This provided her a diverse background allowing her to be well versed in treating an array of disease states, including working as a cardiology physician assistant prior to joining our medical team. She is a firm believer in creating an inviting and collaborative environment for her patients and colleagues to deliver patient care with a personal touch.

Ruby maintains memberships and certifications in several professional affiliations. Moreover, she has been awarded Diplomate status by the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, one of the highest awards given to dermatology physician assistants. She is supportive of many local charities and health organizations by volunteering her time and talent. Her personal interests include fitness, playing sports, reading, and traveling. Ruby is delighted to be part of Innovative Dermatology and Mohs Surgery and enthusiastic to share her passion about skincare to help people look and feel their best
