We're Hiring! Now Seeking Qualified Candidates
 
Full-Time Medical Assistant

40 hours/week anywhere between 7:30 am-7:00 pm

Summary of Duties
  • Assemble and sanitize treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Review medical history, vital statistics, and test results and accurately record in electronic patient files
  • Dispense supplies and samples to patients providing instruction
  • Prepare equipment and assist physician(s) in examinations, procedures, and follow-up visits
  • Notify patients promptly by phone with test results, instructions, and refill prescriptions as directed
  • Maintain inventory of samples, supplies, and equipment emphasizing systematic efficiency and quality control
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
  • Properly dispose of contaminated supplies
  • Perform other administrative and clinical duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in medical office functions and terminology, specific to dermatology preferred
  • Strong comprehension of written and verbal communication skills; correspond with proper grammar and spelling
  • Proficient in computer, basic office programs, and medical software
  • Possess remarkable customer service and organizational skills 
Education 
  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience
  • 2 years experience required; consideration may be granted for combined education and experience
  • Dermatology experience preferred
Certifications and Licenses 
  • CPR and first aid certification favorable 
  • Certification as a medical assistant (CMA) preferred​

Receptionist
40 hours/week anywhere between 7:30 am-7:00 pm
 
Summary of Duties
  • Maintain desk and office cleanliness 
  • Answer phone calls promptly with a friendly and courteous greeting
  • Return messages with accurate information in a timely manner 
  • Appointment and procedure scheduling
  • Contact insurance carrier or relevant websites to procure and verify coverage, deductible, and copay information
  • Enter patient demographics and insurance benefits and eligibility information in electronic medical record
  • Greet and provide assistance to patients and guests upon arrival and departure with courtesy 
  • Furnish and copy or scan patient forms and documents 
  • Collect and witness mandatory signatures on patient forms and documents 
  • Secure and validate applicable referrals and/or authorizations for patient visits and procedures
  • Notify patients of financial responsibility and collect any fees due
  • Utilize software to generate billing information and enter appropriate charges onto encounter forms
  • Document with accuracy all charges and collections activity in software and properly balance account
  • Prepare new patient charts
  • Retrieve and provide messages to physician(s) and staff via intra-office messaging
  • Accept deliveries and promptly distribute to recipient(s)
  • Send and retrieve post office mail daily
  • Maintain patient privacy at all times
  • Perform other related administrative and clerical duties as assigned or requested

Education 
  • High School diploma or equivalent substitute
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience required, 3-5 years preferred; consideration may be granted for combined education and experience
  • Medical office experience mandatory; billing experience preferred
